Your score is only half the story — this is where it puts you relative to everyone else. The curve is the spread of organizations in the study; the vertical line is you. At or near the peak you are among the mass: whatever you are doing, most organizations are doing roughly the same, so none of it is an advantage. Left of the peak most organizations are managing the balance more deliberately than you are. Right of the peak you are in the minority that has made the balance a decision — the thinner the air out there, the more that discipline is worth defending.
